COLOURED STEERING WHEEL TRIM Empty COLOURED STEERING WHEEL TRIM

Post by blackbart on Fri Oct 06, 2017 10:29 am

I have bought the red steering wheel trim to match fascia rings but it looks a bit tricky to fit.
Has anyone fitted on of these, is it easy to fit, is it something I could attempt or is it best left to the dealer?
Any advice would be most welcome.

If you watch the accessories montage video they seem to show the steering wheel trim but sidestep showing how it is fitted
It is possible the airbag needs to be removed but not 100% sure

Thanks Karl - Me thinks it's best to see the dealer!

You do have to remove te airbag...
I like to wrap the steering wheel trim (like the trims on my dashboard) but the airbag hold me to do it.

The dealer asks €45,- to remove the airbag.....Sad

Dealer it is then - if he doesn't want to charge too much.

Now I orded the black trim for my New Vitara at my dealer, the cost for the trim normaly is €44.50 and that includes installation. I got 20% off all the accessories I Ordered. So I paid €35.60 for the steering wheel trim. And of course including installation.

So that's even cheaper than if I had to wrap it myself😎
