does anyone think LEDs would be better in the fog?

interesting to see the 3 different light colours for the LED headlights, main beam, and fog lights all together.

I have fitted these to low beam on my 2017 S Cross and they work great. Originals were rather yellow.
Bought them for the fog lights but fitting them ended up in the too hard basket for now.
With bonnet open can hear the fans spinning. While the bulbs may last for yonks I do wonder about lifespan of the fans. Time will tell.

High beam is separate like Vitara but reflector is smaller & rectangular. (H7, not HB3) Some Philips x-treme vision halogens on order.
The 1.4T version in NZ has combined high & low like what you got in pommie land.

Philips x-treme vision T10 360 6000k LED for side lights. We call them park lights down under. They are very bright & white

I noticed the house across road was lit up much more (leaving driveway) on low beam than it was with original halogen bulbs.
Occasional flash from on coming motorists to dip my lights?
So parked car against a wall to compare LED spread with halogen.
With light source of LED not being in the centre like halogen, plenty of light was escaping where it should not on low beam.
Did not think it would be an issue with the projector low beam lights.
Now have Philips X-treme vision +100% halogen fitted to both low & high beam.
Same correct spread as original, just a bit brighter = all good.

I find the LED dipped beams so good I find it difficult to become too exited about the admittedly inferior main beam, as an easy improvement would some form of super duper halogen improve matters for a 15 squid or so outlay, maintaining focus & no issues with light scatter etc.

What do folks think of these:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUXITO-CANBUS-Error-Free-9005-HB3-LED-Headlight-Bulb-High-Beam-6500K-16000LM/123991533704?hash=item1cde78a888:g:zKYAAOSwCOhd32dt
for main beam?
They claim to imitate the beam pattern of halogen bulbs, so should alleviate the scatter others complain of.
I know we don’t need the canbus feature, but the price is good.

I did initially fit this type of LED bulb (as no others were available at the time) but found the fan type was both noisy and did fail (cooling fan seized) after a time so now fit bulbs such as these with a heat sink, no noise and no fan seizure...

Karl,
Received the LED HB3s from that supplier and they work great. They have a means of adjustment in order to optimise the beam (alledgedly) We shall see!
One point: The LED fitting has the small detent for latching the connector, however if they are connected in the "correct"  orientation,ie with the detent engaged, then the LEDs do not light!!Neutral  Reversing the connector however, cures the problem. Go figure Shocked

Complain to the seller, I have had this before and it is a manufacturing mistake,
LED's are polarity sensitive
The seller usually refunds in full and you get to keep the item Wink

Does anyone know if the fog light housings are the same on Vitara as any other car?
Thinking i might want yellow led lights, and i find for many other cars but not Vitara, however allmost everything on the pics looks like the same houses.
The pics of the clear lights is from a Vitara for comparison.

Suzuki foglights on later models are usually Valeo part# 088358 and fit many manufacturers

Thanks Karl!
I will see if i can get hold of a set for a resonable price, or else i might just do a led conversion on the ones i have.

Fitted LED mains back in March of this year and love 'em.
Car up for service/MOT in a few days, and I'm a little concerned that these LED mains may not comply.
Anyone had any MOT fails due to aftermarket LED mains?

Don't think you can fail the mot for led main beam, it's not tested for beam image like a dipped beam.
Mine's passed it's last two mots with led main beam bulbs.

Just fitted these.

OUSHI LED kit

They were a freebie for a trial. No CANBUS errors. Beam pattern follows original OEM halogen. Simple fitting, once you remember that LED's are polarity specific Embarassed!!  Seriously bright with colour temp matching the dip beam LED. I haven't used them much but I'll update later in the year

Look forward to your findings Crozier

LED car bulbs are evolving continuously,  I recall the originals being noisy as hell as they had inbuilt cooling fans and the light pattern was scattered to say the least

My current favourites are NiteEyes with a heat sink and decent cut off on Low Beam especially on H4 applications

Hello all.
I have a situation.
After replacing the fog lights with LEDs (H11), then front sensors stopped working.
LED features are 30W, 4000 Lumen, 2.7 Amper which is standard product.
It is fixed when I disable the fog light and park sensors by pressing the buttons and press park sensor button to active it again. Then sensors works as it should be.
But when I press to fog light button again then sensors again stop working.
Did you guys heard such a situation before?

What brand if any are they?

I have the above night eye in two Vitara S and a S-Cross SZ5 and parking sensors work fine

I talked with electrician expert and he said they are familiar with that issue, it happens sometimes even in Mercedes, Audi etc..
Reason is the magnetic field generated backside of LED product affect the frequency of sensor. A kind of canbus situation

but it is not happening always i mean same two Vitara and same two LED product and apply same steps but one Vitara may have the issue but other one may not.
Totally not understandable.
electrician said can bus voltage could be different on both vehicle..
He suggested me to replace the LED with another brand product to check if it will be OK or not but the best way is to use default Osram H11 halogen bulb.
I think i will use osram bulb again.

hope this situation will be helpful for any body who may face such a situation in future because i already found somebody had same problem and made a comment in a YouTube video.

Well after some driving around in the dark I can report that the Oushi bulbs don't cause canbus errors, nor do they interfere with the auto stop or park sensors. The cooling fans are quiet (hydraulic according to spec. I dunn'o what that means). They do follow the OEM beam pattern pretty well, in the sense that it's not just a pool of bright light some distance in front. The range of the beam is substantial, and yes these are very bright, almost too bright in fact. Use them when you are in the presence of lots of reflective traffic signs, like motorway roadworks, and you will be dazzled by the reflections. The light temperature matches the LED on the OEM dip. Only thing I can fault is that the spec states they are non-polarity...rubbish. I first thought I had duds until I turned the connectors through 180 degrees.
I need to say I received these as an Amazon Vine reviewer, so they were free. You can read my review here Oushi LED Bulb Kit
