Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
Rebadged Toyota? Are Suzuki now part of Toyota?
Not saying they are bad, they are pretty good really, but loses the something of the Suzuki 'difference'. I assume its the cost of developing a hybrid drive train that makes them do it. Having said that, the front does look better than the Toyota version but no doubt will be a hefty premium cost over the existing S Cross.

Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
I could be wrong but i believe it is a Suzuki product made at Magyar rather than a re-badged Toyota like the A-Cross and Swace
It has similar lines to the Toyota Corolla Cross but the upper door frames are different, door mirrors/front door qtr lights look to be the same as the current S-Cross as do the Alloy Wheels so suggests it could be the same floor pan but a re-styled body shell
Will post more as i find out

Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
It would be interesting. I had previously seen a similar post (on FB so could be completely wrong) showing a new Toyota which was noted as being the basis of the new S Cross and which looked very much like the one shown here but with a blunter flat front like the RAV4.

Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
Link to FB post which actually just poses the question, does look very similar though but maybe different enough to be a different car. All SUV types seem to look similar! It's the new Corolla Cross.

Never in History has there ever been so much smoke without fire prior to Facebook

I think it's all Suzuki with K14D 48v mild hybrid and Allgrip select carried over from previous S Cross/Vitara.

Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
Bigger infotainment screen, but otherwise looks pretty similar to current models. When are Suzuki ever going to avail of the opportunity to fit cranked indicator/ headlamp stalks that don't hide behind the steering wheel? But maybe those have moved higher on the column? Hard to tell from the pic. And illuminate them while you are at it guys.

Manual box means it's not a Toyota powertrain; or it would be auto/CVT (Meh!). Maybe that's still to come?
That said, I do like it, especially the rear.
Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
How odd, the Motion does not get sat nav, but only the Motion gets a rear camera. The Ultra looks like a SZ5 spec but the Motion is not up to the SZ-T in some ways.
They should also have a plug-in PHEV version as many who do not trust full electric are going for that as a halfway house now.

Ahh, OK, missed that.
I quite like it. The info screen does not stick up too far like some although I personally prefer them more integrated in the dash as the current S Cross.
As it is not Toyota based hopefully it will be more affordable.

Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
Hungarian video with probably the best in depth view and colour options, looks like a digital speedo reading in the central display, USB and 12v charger have swapped positions in the dash and arm rest and either a 7" or 9" head unit
Checking on a accessories catalogue the floor mats and roof bars are the same part numbers as previous S-Cross so floorpan and roof are the same as are the front doors from what I can see
Cars in the video also have Vitara SZ4 16" alloys with Yokohama W-Drive tyres fitted instead of the 17" alloys on the UK models
Norwegian accessory brochure cover shows some nice black alloys and the usual mont blanc alloy roof bars

Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
Looks nice, glad they have not put the AC controls in the screen, so much easier with rotary knobs and buttons. As you note, it looks like the same platform. Does anyone know if dimensions like the length and wheelbase are the same? From my point of view it would be nice to have a little larger boot than the current model (you should see the amount my wife takes when we go camping!).
Wonder when prices will be released and how much it will go up.

OK, thanks. Looks exactly the same as the existing so I assume it is just the outer panels which have had a makeover.

Re: NEW S-CROSS 2022
One thing I don't see is dynamic cruise control. AEB is there and that's usually a component associated with the cruise control automation, but it's just not mentioned. It's on the SZ5 Vitara and I think it's a must have.
