So picked up my new Vitara a couple of weeks ago. After two days of owning I could smell burning oil. Also when I first washed it I noticed it was covered in bird lime stains. I work at the dealer I bought it from so they gave me an SX4 hybrid to use for a week. We discovered that the O/S driveshaft seal was leaking and this was the second time it was to be replaced. Got the car back yesterday having had the seal and paintwork sorted. So fingers crossed it will live up to Suzukis bullet proof reputation! I love the car, so nice to drive. I have fitted a bonnet Gaurd which I got at trade price from Truckman. I would love an armrest but even at staff rate the Suzuki one seems expensive! So have to see about that. Looking forward to get some miles on it!

That is a clean Vitara and the bonnet guard suits the red well

Did you remove the 990E0-54P10-000 Front bumper moulding set as im sure it was standard on the UK S model?

The genuine armrest is not cheap but finishes off the interior......hence it being standard on facelift models

i was lucky i got a used armrest of ebay for £75 couple of scuff marks on the back where rear passengers have caught it,but only minor, the screws bracket and covers i got from suzuki think in all cost me about £100 in total,so it maybe worth trawling ebay see if someone's breaking one that has the arm rest in:!:

Thanks everyone, love the car!
Karl, I didn't know there was ment to be a bumper moulding lol, must have been removed by previous owner I guess.

Bazzer, it was machine polished by a body shop, only a very minor mark left but the rest buffed out Smile

And Hutchy thanks for your advise, I will keep an eye out on eBay, I would prefer a genuine one!

The UK ones had door mouldings and front bumper yet others such as Australia had neither...

Im tempted to get the bumper mouldings, I found there was a few Vitaras on autotrader without them, most have them though. I guess it was an option from factory?

The bumper mouldings in the UK were standard on S, Kuro and Rugged Pack models and an optional extra in the accessories catalogue
