Having moved from a Renault scenic 2 with electronic handbrake I have noticed the handbrake lever on the SZ4 is in the wrong place
It seems to be positioned for the lefthand drive versions for UK righthand drive versions you have to reach a little further over. Takes some getting used to

+1 on the Renault electric handbrake, they put the fear even into Renault dealers

Every Suzuki i have owned (designed in Japan and where they are also also RHD) has had the hanbrake offset to the left? Unless you have the physique of a Penguin it falls easily to hand

Interesting that the car is set up for RHD in Japan, we keep reaching into the storage tray rather than the handle!
We had our Renault for 12 years (60,00miles) without a handbrake problem but many parts of Renault are frustrating hence the move to Suzuki

It’s set up for RHD because the drive on the left, like us.

In Japan, I understand that they drive on the left on at least one of the islands, or at least they did when I was there 30 years ago!

@gethryn I think you're thinking of Okinawa prefecture and Kyushu Island, which drove on the right until the end of the 70s I think.

My wife has a habit of sitting with her hand down the side of the passenger seat.
I keep trapping her hand when I use the handbrake as there isn't room for my knuckles as well. Rolling Eyes
