ENJOY (5500 km)
If you're looking on Google for the reviews on the Suzuki Vitara 2015 goes into a multitude against. The vast majority are enthusiastic about the styling and finish. All the plus points are discussed broadly. The negatives are also possible, although there are a number which is nevertheless more under the heading of 'we-must-have-to-say-somthing-about-it' falls. For example, they spoke of the steering and a comparison is made with the S-Cross. Here I can say the following. The straight line stability is excellent. No gecorrigeer on the highway even though it appears in the beginning that that inspires the feeling. Steering is a bit heavier than average and that also includes a bit of the character of the Vitara. All dimensions including the suspension is essentially different from the S-Cross (even though they come from the same factory). What definitely driving behavior positively influenced the SUV is a center console. Your arm is supported, which drives more relaxed way. That the high 'plastic content' on the inside. Actually it is quite pleasant and functional design and all the buttons and switches in the right place. It feels immediately familiar. Frankly, I find the possibility with several color ways of the dashboard something over the top. This does not need the Vitara. Precisely the rest to the eyes is nice. No visual carnival so (such competing brands). Also sproken is the limited headroom in the back seat. Yes if you are taller than 2 meters is somewhat tighter (because taking the ceiling above the Vitara with panoramic roof space), but otherwise it is fine. A home comming thyre may be additional to be ordered, but the repair kit appears to be sufficient. I don't mis a tu.rbo The 1.6 engine is strong. But in January so there will be a turbo for those who want to draw lines on the asphalt. And if you want a real 'tractor', a Diesel is better in pulling. In the Netherlands, a 4x4 is not really necessary but the Vitara is a true SUV with the AllGrip. The navigation is superb but it does take some practice if you want to use the voice control (also applies to the phone). There is no information as to the Garmin for the recommended speed or flash info. That's too bad. The radar works perfectly. Even a cyclist is detected. The radar can also be set to follow. Works fine as long as it is not too busy. The gap between you and the vehicle in front is quite big and it invites other drivers out there in between diving and then the Vitara responds immediately by deceleration. And that can be irritating if it happens often. The horn is downright awkward. A Dual Tone horn would fit better there. But that may still. The luggage compartment is slightly smaller than the S-Cross and the rear seat can not quite flat. However nice the double bottom. No loose parts in the back anymore. There is a sticker on the rear window that alarm is on, but I have not figured out yet what it means. The weight of the Vitara is only slightly more than 1,000 kilos that makes doors and tailgate slightly 'tinny' sound when doing close. It does not affect the safety (five-stars). Crosswind sensitivity (when passing truck or ride on a Bridge) is in my opinion zero. Now after over 5500 kilometers I can say that the Vitara surprised me positively on all fronts. Too bad I still see so little drive. There must anyway be more than 1000 in the Netherlands. I hear about (very) long delivery times thus a matter of patience for the more I see

Thanks for taking the time to add such a comprehensive and positive "real world" view Smile.

Yes, delivery times are long, and Suzuki UK are proving particularly unhelpful in updating customers - I'm still waiting for the next delay as my most recent delivery timescale is "end September" - they've got 2 days left.  Crying or Very sad

Thank you for the detailed report and your views thumbl
I have only owned the Vitara for a week but also driving a Grand Vitara SZ5 I do miss the Arm Rest and it is definitely on my accessories want list

Your comment as to 4x4 not being necessary in the Netherlands I noticed with not seeing any AllGrips at the Suzui dealers when I was there a few weeks ago yet I can remember spending a lot of years visiting the Terrain Treffen organised by Suzuki NL....

Of course a 4x4 useful on rough terrain. But in the Nederlands there are no mountains so a 4x4 is not necessary if you never ride in the mud but just on the highway. That's the reason..:-)

Slightly off topic but here is a Dutch web magazine report on a Suzuki SJ410 I purchased for £50, took it for an MOT which it passe then drove it to Holland and back over a weekend with no problems other than a stereo speaker failing Smile
