How to clean airflow sensor? Empty How to clean airflow sensor?

Post by BajeScross on Fri Dec 01, 2017 7:23 pm

Hi Guys,
Brief intro... I'm new to the site. Own a 2015 JDM S-cross Allgrip. Live in Barbados.

Does anyone know the location of the MAF sensor on the petrol version? I usually clean them with every service and it's coming up to the first service since I bought it.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome! the MAF is usually inline with the air intake hose, most likely held in with one or two screws.

Usually... I've had a 3 door vitara before which was like that but there is nothing in that location.

Well.. update . It doesn't have a MAF sensor it seems. Has a MAP sensor on the intake manifold underneath the air filter cover/box

Welcome to the Forum cheers
Is it a 1.6 S-Cross?
If so i think they run a MAP sensor rather than a MAf sensor

If you look at item #16 on this diagram you can see where the MAP sensor is located in the intake manifold

As you S-Cross is JDM did you import it yourself or buy from Simpson Motors?
I have seen both European and USA spec Suzuki's in Barbados from Simpson

Although still built in Hungary the JDM S-Cross is known as model code YB22S, if you search YB22S on google images you can find lots of accessories designated for the JDM market

Here is the 2015 Suzuki Japan accessories catalogue...
