Hi All
My 2016 Vitara does not have Android Auto, It is suppose to be coming but I'm not holding my breath, would love to have it so I can use google maps. I have rang Suzuki customer care here in Australia but they don't know if its coming or not.
However I found this on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBEtPYGBfcY&t=39s
Shows an update to firmware No1740 from 0750. My firmware No is 0740 so maybe no good for me?
Do any of our members have any ideas on this ?Idea Smile

Yes my dealer did an update (yesterday) and I get Android Auto now. But to be honest I am not sure if it was there before (66 plate).
I am hoping the update fixes the DAB reception issue as well.

Android auto was definitely only added in the latest version of the software . Dab issues are not a regular issue with the unit . If it says no signal it is either aeriel issues or genuinely a transmission dead spot. Where i am has good dab coverage and we gef no complaints about the unit at all.

It was in for reception issues and they decided to update the software, thinking it might fix the problem.
They did initially say they needed to check the antenna, which they were told by Suzuki. So I am not sure why they decided not to check it.
I was suspicious but the DAB appears to be better, I get 80's radio now :-) .
Although I have only been around the block.
I have a Pure Highway DAB in the van and get perfect reception almost everywhere, so I was disappointed with the Suzuki DAB unit.
I Live on the south coast near Brighton..

Have now had Android Auto for over a week and love it. Its fantastic to have, better than Mirror Link. The Bosch infotainment unit now feels complete, great to have the fourth quadrant working.
I have tested the on board 2015 Here maps against Google and Waze.
So far I prefer the Here maps but this will change, the older Here maps get. Will be waiting for EBay to purchase Australian maps for around $50AU as you can now get 2017/18 EU maps for that price. I have emailed a couple of the EU map advertisers but Australia is not available yet.
Google and Waze are very good, so far I prefer Waze because it shows your speed. The best thing is we now have choices.
Something I have noticed is, you have to plug your phone in to the USB port after the infotainment unit is turned on. Otherwise Android Auto does not start.

I have found recently that this is no longer the case. Don't know what has changed may be an update or something but its now working OK no matter when plugged in
