Had 2 year service yesterday ( £260 ) . Thought the diesel engine had stalled on the way home; but no it was just an improvement in quiet tick over.
Still on original tyres, wiper blades, and I presume the exhaust will last indefinitely.

Great score.

In Slovenia Vitara was the best selling car with 4WD in 2016.

Can't see the point in owning a Vitara which is not 4 WD. A bit like owning a horse with 2 legs !!!

seeing as I don't go off road I cant see your argument about 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive I bought my vitara for the high position of the driving position.i had a lot of fords and I loved my focus/s but I found I struggled to get in and out.with the vitara no bother.could not care if it was 2 or 6 wheel drive. 2 way drive is fine until you hit a bit of a slip.
With the Allgrip, no problems at all I wouldnt go back to 2 wheel drive now that I have experienced winter driving with 4 wheel drive vehicle.

I think it all depends on what you want the vehicle to do , 2wd is fine if you only stay on tarmac , you appreciate 4wd when wet , icy or snowy . More open treaded tyres help , on the other hand a 4wd with road based tyres can spin on wet grass . You need to decide if 4wd is beneficial to you and then choose which tyres will suit your use . Personally I have 4wd and a set of winter tyres on another set of wheels , once i need to replace the original conti tyres I will fit a set of all season tyres and leave on all year round.

I blame Suzuki, 4wd was free of charge until the 2015 Vitara, the latest allgrip system has minimal effect on fuel consumption and had 4wd continued as standard i doubt anyone would be complaining of this feature
