Suzuki Flick Key Empty Suzuki Flick Key

A lot of modern cars come with a flick key of sorts...

Has anyone change the boring standard remote & key to a flick type unit? If so, what did you use and where did you obtain it?

There are kits to convert your Suzuki Key into a VAG style set up....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-Swift-Igins-Grand-Vitara-2-Button-CONVERSION-Flip-Remote-Key-Fob-pad-/141601125307?hash=item20f815b3bb:g:DKoAAOSw8gVYBG7S

I have never fitted one so could not comment on quality but one thing to check is the blade is the same as your Vitara one as there are several types of Suzuki Key Blade

Fitted one to my 55 plate GV. It worked fine, the only issue was putting the damn thing back together after getting the blade cut. You need 11 fingers to wind the spring tight enough to flick the blade out.
The locksmith with all his fancy machines couldn't cut the key without taking the blade out. He was very helpful but preferred that I put it back together. Worth the effort, much nicer than a simple key. Make sure the blade is the correct one.

Just be aware that it is very easy to depress the button on VAG flick key remotes. I have done it many a time, and it is well commented on in Škoda forum's of people either nearly injuring themselves or damaging clothing after accidentally depressing the key button.
I now keep my key in a jacket pocket or map pocket in my walking trousers when taking Hadley out on her daily walk.
