EMERGENCY STOP SIGNAL Empty EMERGENCY STOP SIGNAL

Post by Admin on Wed Feb 01, 2017 9:20 am

Looking for the 2017 Winter Test Videos I found myself watching the 2016 Video's once again

At 3.10 on this video it shows the Hazard lights automatically activate under heavy braking in a Turbo S , initially I thought this may be for Scandanavian spec vehicles but checking the UK brochure it is standard on SZ5/Turbo S models, has anyone had them come on or will we all be out Heavy Braking this evening tongue

Got them working once on a Peugeot 308. A lorry pulled out while I was doing 70 on  dual carriageway . I smashed the brakes on as hard as I could and wondered for the next few minutes why the hazards were on. The point is, they only work under the most extreme situations so I don't recommend everyone going out and trying just to see. The strain I put the 308 through was immense. Having raced for many years I know a bit about hard braking, and that moment was  hardest I have ever braked without crashing.

PS If you have got to do it, use someone else's car which is what the journalists do.
