Hi guys. Had the vitara s for a couple of weeks now and I'm looking for a panel filter. As the lump is fairly new it's proving a little difficult to find items for it.

Does anyone know a supplier ?

Thanks in advance.

The 1600 Petrol Air Filter is part# 13780-61M00 and the Turbo S part#13780-68M00 and Diesel Filter part#13780-62M00
1.4 BoosterJet panel filter. 13780-12

Cross referencing the above petrol 1.6 part# you get the sizes in the picture below...

1.4 BoosterJet panel filter. Vitara28

Which then equates to Monster Sport (previously Suzukisport) Power Filter PFX300 part# SD23

http://www.monster-shop.jp/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3907

1.4 BoosterJet panel filter. Pid39011

and K&N Panel Filter part#33-2075

http://www.knfilters.co.uk/search/product.aspx?prod=33-2075#&&KvvLlei4vxEJy/xs5iOy1g3plM6igFaapFBVkOnyE8usSrHJA5AuBwwuf/J03RAknUcRp+g25yNMxz76MEShgGEOEQuGqBgnl7Eqv7HeEA7lpIfw2ubOX14wNqSKvSd25KZdQdjvAulTLkYRPDRcgsxXqVgpOl4XqDSP/cuY2gUIX83Jt17DNMaqmvK8+RXzhwMMtV8WMNVyK/9XVJeUwTo2Okddru9Kfxs+SG8YZYY=

1.4 BoosterJet panel filter. 33-20710

I will try and confirm the 1.4 Turbo and the 1.6 Diesel air filter cross references sometime in the week

With the filter also fitting the Suzuki Swift Sport and many Subaru applications I am sure other filters are available from HKS, JR, Pipercross and many more

Thanks for the reply! It's a different filter I'm afraid, not used in any other Suzuki as far as I can see.

I've dug deep looking, but would seem I need to dig a little more

Is there a part number on the filter, usually printed on the paper element or moulded into the black rubber? I have access to a lot of Japanese parts manuals and Suzuki often use filters on several models

I can grab the part number from work Tuesday, long weekend this week.

It's almost like the M16A filter, though this one has a corner cut away.

Ok i'm grasping at straws here Gar, having not seen a Turbo S filter or any replacement filters yet listed by Mann of Wix
Going from your description of a 1.6 filter with the corner cut off I have found the following Suzuki Panel Filters and sizes with either a corner cut off or a taper.....

SD17 is Size: 228mm x 178mm x 50mm

1.4 BoosterJet panel filter. Sd1710

SD18 is Size: 234mm x 142mm x 56mm

1.4 BoosterJet panel filter. Sd1810

SD26 is Size 234mm × 177.5mm × 29mm

1.4 BoosterJet panel filter. Sd2610

A friend of mine fitted a K&N into his 1.6 petrol SZ5 and as yet has reported no issues
Other people i know have fitted K&N's to earlier Vitara and Grand Vitara models aand reported issues as the filter is the oiled type it has contaminated the sensors

Numerous discussions about this on one of the other forums I'm a member of. Bottom line: K&N's are only worth the extra £££'s if you (a) don't dispose of them during regular servicing (b) couple their installation with a tune or re-map of the engine ECU.

If you wash them and re-oil them, they will contaminate the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) as most people use too much oil. Out of the box new, they won't do any harm to the MAF as the amount of oil applied is correct.
