I have yet to see if it is a "Full" Hybrid or a "Mild" Hybrid as on the Ignis...



I drove an Ignis Allgrip SHVS to the Carrara Marble Mines in Italy from the UK and although it appeared to work it was an unusual setup compared to other Hybrids I have used in the past

I'm interested in this as well, and enjoyed the video of the Ignis set up thanks Karl. That is one complicated setup and reminds me a bit of the KERS system used on F1 cars where they have an extra 80bhp on tap when needed.

I'd much prefer a hybrid than full electric at the moment, best of both worlds - cheaper running costs but also the guaranteed reliability of an internal combustion engine when you need it no matter what the temp outside. With the Suzuki being all wheel drive it's likely to get use in the cold and snow and that's where the IC engine is king IMHO. The ability to heat the car from the engine and no loss of range due to cold batteries would be important to me.

We have all electric Postal vans (Nissans) where I live and you should see the range drop when they use the heaters in winter, and the batteries do age when fully depleted, even the decent LiPo's. They are getting better though - I've recently bought a Relion 35Ah battery and it gives out far more power than its rated at.

It wouldn't take much effort to add more battery capacity to the Suzuki Hybrids and the Lithium Ions are a lot lighter than conventional lead acid batteries. thumbl

I was told by dealer that it's a mild hybrid: same as the Ignis, but 15%-20% fuel saving seems a lot if that's the case.

Piece of cake, you would only need an ECU, dashboard display, BCM, alternator/motor, wiring loom and a Hybrid badge for the tailgate..........cue the A Team music lol!
