Hi all,

Came across this forum whilst researching updating the SDLA on the Vitara we just picked up as a replacement for my partners Peugeot 108. Seems there's quite a lot of useful information here to read up on! Few little jobs I need to do on the car and hopefully pickup a few accessories and things also so will update as we go along!

SDLA updated fine though and now I have android auto working which is a bonus, ordered some floor mats, fitted some new wipers and got an air freshener. Will do a mini detail inside and out as soon as the weather picks up... lot of other bits and bobs planned.

Not sure I can attach photos just yet will link some soon though.

cheers

And so it starts... LED sidelights, numberplate and boot lights changed, ordered some more for the interior.

Also noticed whilst filling up today that the near side rear light (the bit on the boot not the rear quarter) was sitting a tiny bit proud, could see what looked like a white clip.. a quick push and seemed to go back in but was just wondering if this is normal and how that part came on/off the car?

Not a common issue but it is possible that someone has tried to remove the lamp externally to replace a bulb not knowing the bulbs are accessed by removing the interior rear trim panel?

Welcome to the forum!
Nice ride, I did the Led conversion as a first mod as well, i can also recommend to get a couple of chromed out indicator lamps, as they make the front lights look much better.

Thanks!

Yeah the chromed indicator bulbs are on the wish list also.

With regards to the mats I got a set which seems to have 2 holes but there's nothing on the driver's side for them to attach to?

Nice looking Vitara,

Keep up the styling of your Vitara. Always nice to see what others do with their Vitara.

The mats come with two black plastic tabs to retain the mats and clip into the floor pan seat mount. If you look between the two from seat bolts you will see on the vertical side of the floor carpet two squares pre cut for the clips to fit into......many dealers fit the mats and throw the clips away

Ah ok thanks for pics.... the mats I've got now are tailored but not genuine Suzuki so didn't come with those.

Not the most amazing fixing in the world by the looks of it - to be honest the mats aren't going anywhere right now. Going to see how long these last but I'll probably order up some genuine ones at some point when I get over the dealers, need to order the trim that fits under the glovebox too as someone has ripped it off without undoing the trim clips No
