I miss having a C D player in my Vitara, and just cannot get on with the USB facility. Would it be possible to fit a CD player in the Vitara, linking it up to the present audio equipment and speakers ?

Where would you put it?
I don't like the USB music tunes method either.
I've just ordered a cheapish mp3/bluetooth player gizmo, bit like an ipod I guess but without the apple itunes nonsense, I'll see how that goes.

How about using a dvd/cd player that fixes to the rear of the headrests, or a roof drop-down version?
Most can be recharged using 12/240 volt power.

I am not really tech intelligent, but would only want something that was linked to my speakers, and dimmed the sound when traffic instructions were being broadcast. But thanks guys for your advice. My have a look in Halfords.

I think the only viable way to install a cd player is to ditch the existing system and fit something like a double din pioneer stereo/ sat nav.
I'm on a Taiwan based vitara facebook page and there seems to be no end of posts with people that have aftermarket systems!
I'm not sure if they even get a stereo with the Taiwan vitara???

Or maybe something like this?  http://www.roadradio.com/Pioneer/AVIC-Z720DAB/

Very desirable, but rather expensive..........

John, what problem are you having with the USB exactly, I simply transferred the tracks I wanted from my CD`s to a USB memory stick, ( a tiny one about as big as a thumbnail as recommended by someone on here a long time ago, it lives in the USB port and I just select it from the menu when I need it and it works superbly.

Easy to follow, no need to spend £100's on an old fashioned cd player and fitting.
