Off-roading underbody protection Empty Off-roading underbody protection

Hi All,
Looking for advice from the more experienced off-roaders here.

I am planning to lift my Vitara (with the much recommended mad kit) and install under-body protection/ skid plate.

I can add money and install an additional plate to protect the rear differential. Based on your experience, is this necessary? Is this part susceptible to damage in the Vitara. It's not as if I'm going bolder climbing...

Thanks Smile

Welcome to the forum Ravivz

My Vitara has Rival Front Skid Plate, Rival Fuel Tank Guards and Scut Rear Diff Guard

I have used the Vitara off road here in the UK as well as many of the trails and passes in the Italian Alps
The front Skid Plate has experienced a few cosmetic/paint scuffs but nothing major yet the rear Diff Guard has experienced some more serious scars into the metal, something I'm glad is not in the alloy diff housing

The Scut Rear Diff Guard is available here for £77 and they usually have free shipping offers..... (The S-Cross is the correct fitment as it uses the same diff/suspension)

I am currently looking at the new Eibach Pro Lift for the Vitara which is a good price from a well known brand...

It is peace of mind for what they cost even before you venture off road with the poor road conditions and amount of speed bumps......

DO NOT buy this rear diff skid plate, it is incorrect for the Vitara ( Buy the S-Cross one linked above)

Look forward to your Vitara reports
