Good choice on the EGR's

Many genuine Suzuki door visors have been discontinued since the real world mpg tests as they have not all been tested on the vehicles, Suzuki genuine visors are also reported to be scratching the door glass due to their fitting in the door rubbers over the external mount EGR
Also known cases of window regulators having to be replaced after fitment of the Heko Vitara door visors?

Each to their own but having used Climair in the past like Hepko they use the window channel to mount unlike the EGR that are mounted externally with 3M tape

The window channel/rubber is designed to fit the window glass not an extra 3mm acrylic that also puts extra strain on the electric window regulator/motor that I have known been replaced due to channel mounted visors, not an easy warranty claim when a non genuine accessory is fitted

Wind deflectors Climai10

The acrylic also binds on the glass more than the standard rubber seal (see red arrow above) and has been reported as leaving scratches on the glass

I fitted these style deflectors to our mazda 2. After a month or two, I noticed that the metal retaining clips had managed to chip the top of the driver side window. Previously fitted deflectors to a suzuki swift which were fitted externally.

Personally wouldn't touch the wind deflectors that are to be fitted in the glass channel... But each to their own.

The climairs don't have clips. They fitting nice without any clips or tape.

Strange.... all the climairs i have on my cars don't have clips. In the instruction video there are also no clips mentioned.

The bottom line is any interference in the window channel/rubber is not going to be good for the electric window motor/glass as it has to move 3mm offset to then seat incorrectly at the top of the frame

Back on topic, look forward to seeing yours fitted Lotusteve

OK got to ask the obvious here.
Although these add on look aesthetically pleasing and make your car more individual stylee, what do they actually do and when do they achieve their design aim, i.e. windows up, down, just cracked open etc...

I might add the rubber P seals to the door gaps as these look like they might do something useful, the Vitara is noisy at Motorway speeds when my Radio is off , or my driving examiner/advisor is asleep in the pax seat.

The EGR ones I have on my Vitara/Jimny and I also have Genuine Suzuki Japan items on my other Jimny and Carry pick up
All of the above stick to the outer door frame using 3M tape, the genuine Suzuki Japan items do have 2 clips each but attach to the door frame not in the rubber where the glass slides
Being 3M mounted on the door frame they do protrude more than Heko/Climair but in turn rain is deflected further away from the door glass/opening
Do they work? If you have a dog like we do or like fresh air when it's raining yes as it allows air flow into the cabin without any rain coming in
Another advantage with the dark smoke EGR is in the summer when your car is baking you can leave your windows down an inch or two while parked up with no obvious signs of the window being partially open

As you can see the Japanese ones (land of high humidity) are a bit bigger than usual and nearly all manufacturers offer them as a genuine accessory option so they must be of some use?

i couldn't get the wind deflectors that go inside the frame to work on my Vitara. the window would get caught up and then lower a few inches. guess its some kind of safety measure.

Thanks for the info on that Bigcar, it is a known issue on other vehicles bit I didn't want to highlight it if it was not Vitara relevant.
Like you say it is a safety feature to stop the window trapping body parts etc, the electric window will detect any obstruction that it detects and lower the window as a safety measure
