Had a drive out to mid Wales last weekend in search of some disused mines and a few non damaging green lanes, en route I saw two White Vitara AllGrips, one in Newtown and this one in Llanidloes...

Heading up from Ponterwyd towards Nant-Y-Moch it is obvious some people have been straying away from the legal trails resulting in these signs being posted...

From Llyn Pendam there is a UCR leading down to the Cwmsymlog lead mine...

The camera does not show how the running water has damaged this road, the ruts are certainly deeper than I recall a year or two ago but the Hill Descent engaged the Vitara had no problems...

The lead mine can be seen down in the valley...

Plenty of information about the Lead mine that in it's heyday also provided Silver for the local mint in Aberystwyth...

A series of hairpins on via a gated road then leads you back up to the A44 and the Nant yr Arian Red Kite feeding center...

A lovely area and some great pictures. Weather is very gloomy here, but still going to drive into the more heavily wooded areas of the Forest of Dean to see if I can get a couple of reasonable photos.

And as if by magic driving out of a forestry complex in Kerry a week later and the other one I saw with the private registration number in Newtown was parked up.....
